Picking Insect Repellent Shouldn’t be Confusing

For a few lucky people, mosquitoes don’t touch them. But for the rest of us, summer fun can be interrupted with incessant scratching and swatting. And, as we all know, mosquito bites can transmit diseases to us in Los Angeles County.

When we finally make the decision to go to the store to buy repellent, the store’s selection of insect repellent may look like this:

Luckily, there are quite a few resources that can help people find exactly what kind of insect repellent is needed.

CDC‘s website has a whole section dedicated to insect repellent. EPA has a very neat site that tells you what kind of insect repellent you need based on what you’re doing.

But, if those two resources don’t catch your eye, Huffington Post created an infographic that hones in on the four key ingredients you should look for in any insect repellent:
