About Us

GLACVCDThank you for visiting the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVCD) website. We are a California governmental agency committed to promoting community health, comfort, and welfare through effective and responsive vector control. Our staff of California-certified vector control professionals are experts in mosquito abatement operations, disease surveillance, and public health outreach. Protecting the health of the public in the 34 cities and areas of Los Angeles County we serve is our number one priority. We strive to accomplish our mission with care, courtesy, and professionalism.

This website is designed to provide you with an overview of important vector-related topics and issues and to serve as a resource for our residents, city officials, business owners, community organizations, media professionals, and the public at large.

Whether you are looking to submit a service request, find the latest West Nile virus statistics in your community, or book an educational presentation, the information on this site is designed to serve as a valuable guide. GLACVCD works hard to keep your neighborhoods free of vector-borne health threats. Please let us know how we can be of service to you.
If you would like additional information about our services or wish to speak to our experts about a vector-related issue, please do not hesitate to contact either of our offices (Santa Fe Springs office at 562.944.9656 or our Sylmar office at 818.364.9589) or email us at info@glacvcd.org.
